hi I'm Lisa,

What's bothering me is how unaccomplished I feel for a 24 year old. I have no direction in life, I don't have a function. I hate the idea of an office job 9-5. I don't see any career that I would fit in or a lifestyle I like. I have no passion, no ambition, no relationships, my friends suck and the people I want to be my friends don't like me because I'm dumb. I'm going back to university but I'm just wasting my time and money because I don't even have confidence in the program I'm in. I can see how this sounds like I'm just over reacting but I honestly don't even want to live. I don't know  my purpose in life other than complaining, whats the point of all of this why are we alive, if the world would end it would be a relief because I don't want to live in the real world. My dreams are more interesting I some time cry because I wake up and realize it was just a dream.

how have some of you overcome this?

hi lisa,

let me welcome you to the what-do-I-do-with-my-life club. we have millions of members. we may not always have sight of what the goal of life is, but you were born with hope and still have it, so keep on going. try to keep an open mind in all aspects of life and go out your way to meet new people with whom you can gain inspiration.
what I find fulfilling is volunteering. whether that's with people less fortunate than yourself or with animals, wildlife etc..it can give you a true purpose and a feeling like youre making a difference, which is a tremendous avchievement.

all the best
