So 2016 was awful. I caught a burglar in my flat which has left me with the worst anxiety and paranoia, my ex left me with a lot of debt, I moved home with my 5 year old daughter but the family member I live with I have discovered is an alcoholic and very negative, I had a miscarriage at six weeks but turns out 3 of my friends are now all expecting a baby the same week I would have and I changed jobs where I am waiting on commission coming through and currently my outgoings are the same as my incomings because it's taking so long.
I've always worked hard and used to having so much more than what I do now, but it's taking longer than anticipated unfortunately.

My little girls dad is awful to me, doesn't help financially other than £100 a month and sees her once a week. He says I'm the worst parent because I work 5 days a week and it's my choice to work etc. But he works offshore and when there isn't any work he works for his friend or sits about his house with his new family but won't help with childcare etc.
He's rude, disrespectful and always threatening me with lawyers when I have never done anything wrong. I think he does it because he knows it controls my mood and affects my depression. How after 5 years can he still control me!!!

I have a very good job and my life looks picture perfect from the outside but it's not. Yes I have a nice car but the payments are crushing me. (Thanks ex bf for that one) I am drowning. I cry every night. I've pushed people away. I'm so lost. I love my daughter so much and she's definitely the only reason I'm still here. I have fought so hard to get here but im tired. I don't know what else I can do or how much I can take.

My family can't really help as they have their own things going on.
I'm so so lost. Any positivity or suggestions welcome.

Hi,

I've struggled with hurts, hang-ups and habits, and there's been a lot of improvement for me. I've been taking anti-depressant medications. Also, I've been doing the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery.

1: We admitted we were powerless over our addictions and compulsive behaviors--that our lives had become unmanageable.

2: We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3: We made a decision to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God.

4: We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5: We admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6: We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

7: We humbly asked Him to remove all our shortcomings.

8: We made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to all of them.

9: We made direct amends to such people whenever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10: We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.

11: We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

12: Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

No matter what happens, know that you are loved.

1st: You need to find a way to get your ex out of your life, for yourself and your daughter. Don't do anything risky because he'll use that against you. Play it safe.

2nd: You need to get out of debt. Sell anything you can live without. Try to downsize as much as possible. Don't eat out, buy the cheapest things you can. Once your commission comes through start saving as much as you can.

3rd: Get your own place where you can raise your daughter in a safe environment. It doesn't have to be much, just enough for you and her.

Hold on for your daughter. She needs you, and you can do this. Find someone you can talk to, who doesn't mind if you vent, who you can trust, and will be able to just listen. There is hope, and I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you will find it.
