I’m 27 years old and still dependent on my parents. For the last 4 years, I have no job and friends. Although I spend all of my time doing our household chores, I still feel suicidal and depressed because of my current situation. I have finished college and taken one vocational course; in spite of all that, I can’t find a suitable job for me. My last job, way back 2014, lasted only one month and in that one month I have cried every day because of office bullying, low self-esteem and confidence, anxiety and etc. It is almost 3 years and still my memories on my last job still haunts me, making it difficult for me to start a new. What should I do? My parents and my siblings are tired of my self-pitying?

Thank you for reaching out, what an amazing first step you just took!  For years I struggled with anxiety, self esteem, depression and addictions. It really is a tough battle to be fighting. But you weren't put on this earth to fight alone. All of these things that you feel weighed down by can be lifted from you. They were for me... I know it sounds typical but Jesus IS real.. and He speaks to people, and he takes burdens away. Please consider seeking Him and asking Him for help. He is the only thing that can truly heal you. On this earth you will always have trouble but HE overcame so that we may overcome. I encourage you to fill your mind with positive and uplifting things and your mind will be renewed. What you fill your mind with such as movies, tv, books, music it WILL become. And earnestly seek Jesus, He will show Himself to you.

Ending your life is only a temporary solution. You are an eternal being. There is a living soul that is inside of your body and it lives forever. So ending your life won't solve your problems. Please take this into consideration... You will never be fully satisfied while you live on the earth because you aren't Home.. you feel like you're missing something.. there is something more.  What you need and are looking for is the love of  The Father and the longing to go Home. You can fill that hole by spending time with Him while you are on earth...

The devil is causing you to have anxiety.. it is a spirit on you clouding your mind so that you don't find Jesus. But if you accept Him as your Lord and tell anxiety to leave you.. it MUST go. He will heal you from the wounds you feel, it doesn't always happen over night, often times.. it was a process for me, but forgiveness is a great place to start! Forgiveness is also a process because it is a CHOICE not a feeling. I encourage you to speak out loud every day I forgive them, and when every time you think of them or that situation and you feel bitter or hurt about it speak "I forgive them." and eventually you will feel it.

I will be praying for you and I hope something that I have said speaks to you. Please remember that there is a God in Heavenly places and He loves and believes in you.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts :D The reason why I'm still alive is because my mother thought how to pray the rosary. When there are times that I want to commit suicide, I automatically recite prayers like Our Father and the Apostle's Creed. In that way I always postpone my suicidal thoughts. The only problem to me now is I'm  afraid to open up to my parents and siblings because I'm afraid that they will not understand me or they will think that I'm crazy that needs medical attention.

I've struggled with anxiety and there's been a lot of improvement for me. I've struggled with depression, including suicidal thoughts, and there's been a lot of improvement for me. I've been taking anti-depressant medications. Also, I've been doing the 12 Steps of Emotions Anonymous.

1: We admitted we were powerless over our emotions--that our lives had become unmanageable.

2: We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3: We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

4: We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5: We admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6: We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

7: We humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

8: We made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

9: We made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10: We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.

11: We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

12: Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Emotions Anonymous, a fellowship of people recovering from emotional problems like anxiety, depression and anger.

My story can be found here:

May peace be with you,
Thank you anonymous for spending time in reading and answering my questions. I always felt that all that happened to me has a reason. I'm a sinner that indebted with my sins. What was happening to me is my Karma for what I have done before.  I am starting to renew my self today and repent my sins.
