I'm 28, female in the UK. Currently engaged to a man I adore, I have up my job to come live with him and we decided to live on his salary while I worked on my books and worked freelance as a proofreader and editor. We've been poor but happy.

Just this morning his mother told him I need to get a real job

Ok. Anyone know anywhere that will employ someone 2 years out of work, I've got a degree but that's hardly worth anything these days, qualified in childcare but everywhere seems to want more than what I've got. My old jobs left me feeling like I'm worthless, **** at what I do and not worth employing.

I don't know what to do. I love my fiancé but it feels like death might be better for him. He'll be rid of the burden of me and he makes more than enough to live on. I don't think his mother likes me so no worries about hurting her and my own parents... Well I tried messaging asking for help 12 hours ago and no response. They've got my sister, they'd get over me, I'm pretty sure I've been a let down anyway.
Country: uk

Your man is not a fool. I'm sure he sees your burdens yet  he stays. That means that he loves you enough to fight for what you both have. If you've ever seen the movie "The Notebook", the ending where he tells her "it will be hard but i want to do that because I want you".

I'm also an inspiring writer, trying to get published soon. Since I was 8 years old I was plagued with horrible  nightmares, fear of sleeping, insomnia all which led to severe depression. I fought my demons and to this day, age 37, I still fight but the necessity  to fight is less often. What kept me going is one word... Love. I've been heart broken more times than I care to remember. You're lucky. You have a man who stands by you. If you feel he isn't supporting you against his mother, tell him calmly. If you love writing, join freelance writing sites and make some income. I'm not afraid to die but I don't like losing either. Dying is not the answer. It just means that those who you see as your enemies have won. I have nobody to talk to but a woman who barely talks to me. You have a man who has dropped everything to be with you. Talk to him.
