I had spinal (neck) surgery 1/05/17 because I had several deteriorated vertebrae smash after a car accident pinching off my spinal cord and have gone back for my yearly check up and was told I'll need to have surgery again but this time more extensive because the plate and screws shifted and is affecting my nerves. I'll have to have 24/7 care for about 6-12 months after with everything- feeding, bathing etc...  Which I didn't have after surgery because we didn't have the money to pay for a personal care worker and didn't qualify threw the state because my husband earned to much ($75 a month over income limits)

My husband has tried to do his best to always take good care of our family even after he was severely injured but unfortunately he was let go (business closed) from his job the Mon before Thanksgiving and  hasn't been able to find stable work. He was a subcontractor so no unemployment. My brother has offered a room in his home and will help to care for me after surgery so my husband can work (he has been offered a job at my brothers workplace) but we don't have the money to get the tires and brakes fixed on our Tahoe to be road worthy or the gas money to drive from Eau Claire Wis to Dallas TX. I have checked with many different resources and keep hitting roadblocks - no young  children, no jobs, borderline homeless (2 weeks away) handicapped but not recognized by SSI yet, no emergency or temporary assistance, no bank accounts for payday loan or credit for regular loan -our credit is shot from my surgeries (ovarian/uterine cancer)......etc

I'm asking for help to be moved to Dallas so I can get the proper care I need so I can heal and become a productive citizen again. We've tried to do as much as we could on our own but have been sinking deep financially without getting any help. We hope moving closer to family will help take some of the burdens off and save us from completely drowning...

PLEASE PLEASE HELP SAVE 2 more lives!!!!!
THANK YOU & GOD BLESS!!!!
Country: USA Eau Claire Wisconsin to Dallas Texas

Terri God bless you and your husband. I am so sorry for what has happened to you and how much that car accident has affected your quality of life.  This accident and the continued deterioration which is happening in your vertebraes is in no doubt the cause for all which is causing you these hardships.  Surely, you must have contacted your insurance company and obtained the assistance of an attorney who specializes in automotive injuries.  Cases such as these have settled in and out of court for up to and more than  a million dollars.   Insurance companies know that and some use tactics such as stretching the case out as long as they can without settling. The longer the injured is left to hardships such as trying to live, pay bills and meet their other financial responsibilities, the less they are likely to accept.  Your attorney should be aware of that plus every other tactics the adjusters use to protect their bottom line. In the real life people suffer and they should not be forced to worry about things like buying food, keeping a roof over their heads and paying a service provider for assistance.  Your lawyer knows you have a case, a good one. The experienced lawyer may be in a position to advance you funds based on the perceived outcome of the case. If he or she or the firm is unable or unwilling to do this for you then they should be able to refer you to a firm that specializes in such loans.   I hope that this information is helpful to you and that all works out well for you. Take care and I will pray for your speedy recovery. Your friend, papasmurff, A.K.A. Rick B.
