Dear Malinab,

There are positive and negative ways to get attention (or test if others care about you in this specific case) and the negative way typically ends up with avoidance and distance. Not because people don't care, but it is the negative act that cause confusion and scare ...
Therefore, please stop cutting. It will never help and it could start a negative behavior loop that only make it worse.

I believe your true goal is not to simply test if others care about you. Instead, you want to solve more specific problems and you want to get help and support. If you look at the big picture, you can clearly see cutting or hurting yourself won't help solving this specific problem at all. For example, if feeling "empty" is one of this specific problem, then you should find the meaning and inspiration to fill this void or create "value" and help others ... cutting is achieving the opposite.

I know the situation is much more complicated, so please keep asking for help and guidance from professionals and people you trust. Keep taking meaningful and positive decisions, and you will see people do care about you and want to help in every way they can.

You can also call the helpline anytime you need to talk:
The Lifeline (US) at 1-800-273-TALK (8255)

Please never give up life.

Life Is

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

I had the same feeling before, I intend to jump from the fifth floor, but i gave up because i am not brave enough to do so. and then i think about my parents, i know that if i die, they will completely loose their destination of living.
hey, cheer up.
the best way to get rid of such idea is to find your goal and fulfill your schedule. do you have an hobby or something want to do. if you can not find any hobbies, trying to do something new, hiking, meditation, painting, anything!
