I am 22 and supporting my parents and niece. My parents are both too sick to work and I recently found out my mom may have lung cancer. I have been woking 7 days a week to make ends meet but things are getting worse and I am trying my hardest to make things better but it seems pointless some times. I have had thoughts of suicide in the past but they have been a regular thing for me latley. When I would have these thoughts in the past I would just spend some time with my friends but working 7 a week I don't have time to see them. suicide is a cronic thought at this point and I am waiting for my parents to pass so I can kill myself. I don't believe things will get better. I miss my friends, I will miss my parents, As I write this, I am not looking forward to tomorrow.

It does sound hard, but you sound strong. Take it one day at a time and start small. Maybe one day have a special candy bar just because, the next day sneak out of work a few minutes early.. just little things to brighten your day until things start to get better. If you seriously are considering hurting yourself, please seek help from a friend, church, or medical professional. I've been down that road myself and with the Lord and my doctors help, I have pulled through. And I'm sure you can too. For now it's hard, and it may be for awhile, but I promise you with all ky heart it will get better and plenty of people out there love you and are willing to help you get through this. I will pray the Lord gives you strength and peace.

please do make a big effort to see your friends, even if it's a quick bite to eat for an hour once a week, but keeping your support network going will serve you well.

for what it's worth, you can always keep in touch on here as i will be here for you. dont underestimate the power ofstrangers as there really are people out there that give a **** about you, so please dont ever feel alone.

whatever i can do to help i will so please do keep in touch and tell me more about how you are feeling. together we can make it through anything, dont forget that.

when you are very young you live in the moment and if the moment is really bad you cannot see beyond it.  As you get older you realize that everything has a beginning and an end.  The good things do not last forever, and neither do the bad.  If you can just hang in there things will get better.  I cannot tell you when, only that they will.  The fact that you are working so hard to help others says that you are a wonderful person and you will have beauty in your life too.  I am 63 and have had many hard times.  I will tell you this.  No matter how hard life is I can still find the beauty in it, even if it is only seeing a beautiful butterfly or bird on a nice day with a fresh breeze in the air.  I take a deep breathe and enjoy every second of what I am feeling and seeing.  You do not have to be rich or trouble-free to feel the beauty of life, and it may last only seconds but it IS worth fighting for.  You are worth fighting for.  Your parents created an amazing person.  You are not alone and when the current bad times are done either your friends will still be there for you, or you will make new friends.  Do not give up.

A friend.
