Well I'm only 12 but I have been having suicidal thoughts and I think part of it comes from my home life and depression. At school I am constanly being bullied by people telling me I'm lesbo just because I don't have a boyfriend and I am always being called ugly and flat chested. Another part is that at home I feel like I'm being attacked not physicaly but mentally like everything I do is NEVER right it is always wrong. And I just want it all to end.

Life is tough at your age, which is why there are bullies. For them, its a way of feeling superior to others, but the fact is 'you' are much better. Try to find friends who like the same things, and get strength from each other. Having one good friend who understands you will help in so many ways. Don't worry about your physical appearance - how many stunning Hollywood babes were ugly ducklings? Loads. Look at Nicole Kidman... her flat chest doesn't seem to have held her back! ******? Whats wrong with being a lesbian? I know you're not, but its a bit like insulting a lesbian by saying they're straight!   And lets face it, these bullies are not exactly original are they?! They are just letting the world know how stupid and ignorant they are. If you can, when you see them, don't react, carry on walking - normally, not with your head down, think of something nice and don't even listen to what is being said. If you don't react, they'll get bored. If you really feel you have to react, just say calmly and quietly 'how childish'.

As for home life, parents can be really dense sometimes. They are so involved in their own lives that they don't realise the effect of their words on your emotions. They could be worried about bills, or work or their health - things they don't want to worry you about, but that doesn't mean you should be ignored. Write a note to mum or dad, or an aunt or gran. Start by saying 'I really need to have 10 minutes of your time, I need to talk to you, this is important to me... then put what you've written here.  Hopefully, someone will sit down with you and listen to what you say.  If you don't have any luck, talk to a nice teacher. Do you have a school nurse or councilor?

And finally, if you're still awake after reading all this, everyone goes through this - well, almost everyone, to some degree or other. I'm not saying your feelings should be ignored because they shouldn't. What I'm saying is, look around you - any disabled kids at your school? How do you think they feel? Any kids with acne/bad skin? Overweight kids? Maybe some are being abused at home? Now look at the adults... how many have money problems? No job? Horrible job?

So, ignore the bullies; they're just weak idiots, ok? Talk to someone. If you can, take up a hobby or do something that makes you feel good. What's your best subject at school? Look at career options. The happiest people are those who  work doing a job they love - we can't all be singers or actors or golfers, but maybe you like animals or fashion? It doesn't have to pay well, just enjoy it.

hope this helps, stay strong, people care about YOU x
