Ideas on a having a yard sell with no yard and in a hurry?

I live in the Richmond VA metro area and need a place to sell all my worldly possessions.  My dog (who saved my life) needs surgery and medical care afterwards.  We both need a roof over our heads as well.  Any suggestions?

Issues are money crunch, dogs health and shelter. I can totally empathize with our love for pets, especially life saving ones (they're are all little life savers really). One avenue is to contact the local animal shelter and ask them for a referral for their veterinarian. These individuals have a soft spot for animals and often do very inexpensive work for the shelter animals. They may offer less expensive surgery for your special one. You state that you need a place to sell your goods. Why not sell them right where they sit, like an open house or estate sale. Just post signs on lamp posts or legal places guiding people to your address. Clearly mark items for sale and just keep having these "open houses" until you sell what you desire. Finally, several times I've had to opt for the tiny efficiency apartment and section 8 housing assistance might be an option. With a pet that might be complicated somewhat and I'm not sure of your income level. Richmond is kind of expensive isn't it? If employment location isn't a factor, going to a cheaper location out of metro may be a solution. My best to you and your special one
