I'm scared that the police are going to kill me and my family!! :(

Hello, just call me Jasmine. Today when I was away from home (I was at school at the time), men showed up at my house and my 22 year old brother (he lives with us) was told that we were suspected to have a meth lab. My brother asked for their identification and they showed their badges which may or may not have been real. Long story short, they said that my mom was buying a certain type of cold medicine and that there was stuff in the cold medicine that could be used possible to make meth. I'm really scared that they weren't actually undercover cops but just robbers or something worse....I'm so scared that I'm going to die tonight! :( I don't want to go to school tomorrow because I'm scared that I'll come back and see my family dead!! They cannot show up to your house without a warrant. They cannot harass you like this. Cops must identify themselves and give a badge number not just show the badge. If they have none of this, then you can call the police yourself or call the FBI. Next time tell your brother to film them. Contact a local chapter of the ACLU - they can help you better with all this. The police also cannot question you at all since you are a minor. If they end up arresting any of you, don't say anything and demand your lawyer immediately. Check out also www.copwatch.org ... I am sorry you are going through all this but you need to report this.
