I've applied for Medicaid.
I have 1 month, at the most 2, until I'm homeless.
I've applied for many positions, gotten help with my resume, but I wonder if I look unemployable the longer I'm unemployed.
I was just diagnosed as bipolar 2 and don't want to go without my new med - finally feeling better and emotionally stable. Emerging from 1 year of deep depression.
Country: United States

Have you tried applying to temporary agencies for work? Make sure you let them and any potential employers know that you are willing to start with the most menial job available. I think many factory/machine operator jobs are suitable for those with certain mental health issues. Assembly, packing, warehousing jobs might also be good choices. In the meantime, have you applied for public housing or housing for individuals with disabilities? Make a list of transitional housing and homeless shelters in your community in case you do become homeless because if that happens, you will have challenges staying informed and organized with your information, although being in the system make help with getting you public housing faster (in some states and counties) and you would have access to social workers with information, though many are so busy you might have to be a very "squeaky" wheel (keep asking for their help, do not assume they are purposely not helping). Ask county (Department of Job and Family Services) for information, try the public library, get a bus schedule, get bus passes from the county agency when you get a job. Go to the library and look up community resources, like United Way, and find out what help is available.
