where can I get professional help for this problem? I am very alone tried dating sites, tried waiting for God to help me and the eight or so years I have been wanting a significant other i have yet to find someone. I can not ask women out face to face, only over text or im. I am scared

have the courage to speak up. Introduce yourself to someone and be nice. I'm sure you'll find one. You don't find love it finds you. I tell you this coz it found me before.

You are not the first person who has trouble speaking to the opposite sex. Don't feel bad. I would suggest you take a speech or acting class at your school or community college. I was pretty shy myself and it helped me. After I saw I was not the only one making a fool of myself, I felt more comfortable speaking. You need to find the courage to speak up, and unfortunately that is only gained through experience. These classes can help you see that even if you feel embarrassed or do something "embarrassing" its not the end of the world. A lot of the times people can't talk face to face because they are afraid they will sound stupid or do something wrong. Be polite and be yourself. You can always explain you are shy, and you can always apologize if you feel you said something wrong.

Do you have any female friends? I would suggest practice talking to them. I have done this with some of my guy friends who are pretty shy, two of them are married now ;)You can always practice with us :) I would also suggest joining some extracurricular activity or volunteering somewhere to find people who are interested in the same things you are. It's easier to talk to people when you are part of group. Maybe you can invite several people to do things and eventually work your way up to just one on one. Don't let this stress you out. It will come more naturally, you just have to actually ask.

Don't be scared. What is the worst thing a girl can do when you ask her out? say no, and that won't kill you. Think of it as her loss :) True no one likes feeling rejected but you never know until you ask. Again, I am here if you want to practice or talk more about this. Good luck
